BLACK SATURDAY at Lake Sebu

I spent my BLACK SATURDAY with my family and some of my relatives at Lake Sebu in South Cotabato. Oh Boy, for my 17 years of living here in the SOCSKSARGEN Region, this is my first time to go there. I never even knew that it was an eco-tourist destination. That is why I am so geared up. I want this ‘another first in my life’ to be great.

We first passed by the Merl Garden Resort. We actually just stayed for just a couple of hours. We just took pictures of the place and tried some of the recreational activities that they offer. We tried the zip line and the monkey ladder. It was like the Slide for Life that we had during our Boy Scout Encampment when I was still in my elementary days. That was really a long time ago. Thus, it made me feel so anxious. Should I go for it or not? I gave myself one minute time to decide. 60. 59. 58… Ring the Alarm. OKAY. I will go for it. Good heavens, Bless me. I tried first the zip line with my father and my cousin. We were pushing each other’s back if who will do it first. My father went first. Then, my cousin went next. I got no choice but to be the last. I felt less nervous that time. If they can, I am sure I can do it too. It is just a matter of character, DUDE. I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky. Ooh lalala. Mom & Dad, Watch me fly. LOL.

Then, we climbed the 40 meter Monkey Ladder. I found that easy climbing the ladder. I got no problem with that. But when I reached the top, CAN I QUIT? I never knew 40 meter was this high. “Kuya, Ready na po kayo? Bibitawan ko na.” DORK! Are you sure this would not be the cause of my death? The boy was like 10 years younger than me assured that I would reach the other end with my bones still placed in their proper places. They say children do not lie. So, I TRUST YOU KIDDIE. Dad, wait for me at the other end. HEY people. Put your hands up in the air. Here I go. Laugh. Laugh. I MADE IT, Believe it or believe it. You got no choice too. Hee-haw. After that, we left the Merl Garden Resort after doing publicity stunts there.

HOLY MACKEREL. On our way to the Punta Isla, I saw TILAPIA here. I saw TILAPIA there. I saw TILAPIA everywhere. BUY NOW for 85 pesos per kilo. LOL. If General Santos City is the TUNA CAPITAL of the RP, I bet LAKE SEBU is the TILAPIA CAPITAL. Am I right or wide off the mark? Jeez. Anyways, we had our lunch there at PUNTA ISLA. While waiting for our foods to be served, we watched the presentation of the T’boli Natives there. They showcased their talents thru playing some of their musical instruments and performing some of their dances. It was a nice show. I even never expected that girl that she could speak straight ENGLISH. [Nosebleed AKO] GUYS, I even felt ‘LUKSO NG DUGO.’ I felt like I really belong to the tribe. HAHA. When the foods were served, we ate our lunch then roam around the place and took some pictures.

Next destination: SEVEN FALLS. My mother has an alto phobia. She has fear of heights. She was closing her eyes until we finally reach the place. The road to the Seven Falls was too narrow and our car was like only inches away from the cliff. Just one mistake from my DADDY DRIVER, we would all die. But, I TRUST our driver. My father is an engineer/racer. JOKE. When we reached the place, it was far beyond what I expected. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED, indeed. So, I was not able to bring my swimming wear. Haha. So, I just volunteered to be their OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER for the day. OKAY Guys. Give me your nice pose. YEAH. That’s right. Say Cheese. Good one. I want more. LOL.

It was a very strenuous day but we really had fun. PROMISE. LADIES&GENTS: Try to go there this summer. If you love nature and adventure, you will love LAKE SEBU.

HAPPY EASTER, MULTIPLIERS.

PS. BANGON SOUTH COTABATO, Masarangan Ta Ini.
